One of my greatest fears is being the neighbor that never shuts up. I enjoy conversation, so I’m susceptible to falling into this habit. To keep it in check, I ignore everyone. It’s not the best way to deal with it, but it works. An internet user asked for ways to deal with chatty neighbors, and here are some solutions that people offered.
Keep It Polite but Quick

The interaction could help you acquire a new friend, or you may discover you don’t click. Your neighbor may be the first to notice your house is on fire or being robbed. There are also different reasons why people are talkative. Some are nosey, while others are genuinely interested.
Lying Is Polite

Sell Your House
Several people agree that selling your house is the only option when all else fails. It’s why renting is more ideal than buying. You can rent and move if you’ve already purchased the property. Before signing your names on the new property, ask to meet the neighbors to gauge whether you consider them acceptable. Then, one day, you might hit the gold.
Good Fences Make Good Neighbors

If they don’t catch up on that, they’ll pretend they have something to do and go inside. So make your boundaries clear and build a tall fence to help you with that.
